NEW BBVA Compass bank blog: deposits and NSF fees, closing accounts, false police report
The new BBVA Compass blog is at http://liarsandcheats.info/bbva-compass-bank-retaliation-closed-accounts/
The LONG ABOUT page contains my detailed description of events and pictures. I previously posted here about it and it wasn’t a priority until I received a “WARNING” citation from the Kingman police department last week.
Apparently they filed a FALSE police report, falsely accusing me of TRESPASSING when all I did was cash their checks. NOBODY ever asked me to leave!
So that just goes to show how the banksters and the cops work together to keep the PEOPLE from exposing their corruption.
They think they’re so powerful, I’d now be too afraid to publish manager Mark Huling’s name and maybe more important, wouldn’t dare to demand answers about their deposit and NSF fee policy.
Fat chance, you morons!
I have a few questions for the Kingman police chief and I want to submit my complaint to BBVA Compass regulator, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Of course I don’t expect any action or coherent answers—the point of the exercise is to convince MILLIONS of judgment-proof people to STOP paying their unsecured debts to the large commercial banks.
And I want to encourage all who are NOT judgment-proof and with assets deposited at the large commercial banks to consider moving their funds to community banks.
http://moveyourmoney.info/
Sadly, my closest community bank is over 200 miles away. I really really hope that the Common Good Bank will finally open this year. They now have a number of investors and are getting close to having sufficient start-up capital.
And to all of you who think that you’re doing fine and you don’t need to worry:
You’re not going to enjoy living in fear, getting robbed and worrying about your family because too many people have NOTHING. We’re all in this together.

Not only is this a REVOLUTIONARY way of banking, but the voting system including proxy voting SHOULD be used to decide most issues in all governments.
Imagine how our political landscape would change if you could vote for your 1st choice of president and if your candidate doesn’t win, your vote for your 2nd choice will count. No more blaming losses on those who voted for the 3rd party candidate, no more throwing votes away and the associated endless discussions.
Just like the Constitution, the voting system was designed in a different time. Government needs to grow up and move into the 21st century.
There is NOTHING wrong with electronic and internet voting as long as no “proprietary” software is used to skew the results and people get a receipt.
Let’s get out of the dark ages and start practicing DEMOCRACY while banking.
PLEASE sign up for the COMMON GOOD BANK.
It’s not only about a checking account and credit card without outrageous fees, but about supporting YOUR community and instead of making the bankers even wealthier, let the merchants benefit from low/no fee credit transactions through a system by the people FOR the people.
This is a GREAT way to test the voting system and to show that not all people are stupid morons. Hopefully.
The business plan and lots of NEW info are at http://commongoodbank.com/
I recently watched online an entire Planning and Zoning hearing in Kingman.
It started out rather boring and I wondered why so many people were there. Turns out that on the agenda was a new ordinance for wind generators. Not a little 403 or Air X like mine, but the LARGE gens that really crank out power.
Of course there were several solar/wind installers with good input, but MANY residents expressed their views. Apparently 1/3 of power customers are delinquent in the Phoenix area and the cost of power is become a serious issue.
Notably, towards the end of the hearing, one of the commissioners brought up esthetics. He went on and on how he was so surprised that nobody brought up esthetics. Of course he lives in an upscale subdivision with underground electric while MOST residents get to enjoy the beautiful power poles and lines giving Mohave county the distinct look of a 3rd world country.
While several commissioners seemed to be concerned with a wind gen ruining their view, they decided to honor the desire of the PUBLIC. The ordinance was substantially changed to be less restrictive and sent to the city counsel. It’s not a done deal yet, but due to the recorded hearing they won’t be able to “revise” what was said and hopefully the PEOPLE will get what they want.
This really changed my view of Kingman. It doesn’t affect me directly since I live in the county, but it’s the closest town and many regs are eventually adopted by the county. Never thought the people of Kingman had it in them to be so proactive about alternative energy. Now if they could only get the city to invest in a little solar plant and create a PUBLIC utility to provide low cost electricity.
It’s amazing to see how laws are made and if people just CARE a little, things can be a lot different. We may not be able to change the federal system and the banking system, but we can REMOVE ourselves from the corruption by starting many common good banks and being active in our local communities.
LOCAL governments will be the first to implement internet voting on many issues and sooner or later, even the feds will have to change their ways.
So stop whining and complaining and at the very least, sign up for the COMMON GOOD BANK.

Wachovia accused of giving 10 counterfeit $100 bills to customer—will not reimburse
Bank Gave Counterfeit Bills, Couple Says
Different Customer Given Refund After Fake Money Claim, Report Says
POSTED: 11:33 pm EDT July 22, 2008
UPDATED: 9:49 am EDT July 23, 2008ORLANDO, Fla.—A couple has contacted the Secret Service claiming a Central Florida bank gave them 10 counterfeit bills during a transaction.
Ulises Garcia said he was withdrawing cash from a Wachovia Bank and depositing it into a Bank of America so he could pay his bills online.
However, the Bank of America teller noticed something funny about 10 of the 36 $100 bills Garcia said he received from Wachovia Bank—they were counterfeit, Local 6’s Tony Pipitone reported.
However, the bank has not given Garcia or his fiancé, Joann Rodriguez, any money.
“We have big plans,” Rodriguez said. “We were planning to get married in about two or three months.”
“And this money’s pretty important?” Pipitone asked.
“Very important,” Rodrguez said. “It’s a big part of our wedding.”
“It is really frustrating for us,” Garcia said. “The bank is not doing anything about it. (It’s) just not giving us any solutions at all.”
A Wachovia representative said it will not refund any money because it can’t verify the $1,000 in counterfeit notes were the same bills Garcia was handed by their teller.
But weeks later, Wachovia did refund $40 to another customer with a similar story, Local 6 has learned.
Garcia said Wachovia is ripping him off and has alerted the sheriff’s office, the Secret Service and the media.
“Ten (bills) in one transaction to come from one bank, that is definitely unusual,” U.S. Secret Service representative Jim Glendinning said.
“But is it possible?” Pipitone asked.
“Remotely, yes it is,” Glendinning said.
Glendinning said he was not surprised the Bank of America caught the counterfeits but wondered how a Wachovia could pass the bills unless a bank employee was in on it, Pipitone reported.
The United States Secret Service Web site shows people how to detect counterfeit money.
Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
I’m sure you’ve heard of Wachovia’s financial problems, but they couldn’t possibly be trying to solve their cash flow crisis by handing out fake $100 bills to customers.
And that they wouldn’t reimburse the customer is just outrageous. It never occurred to me that a BANK could give you fake money.
If MANY customers TRANSFER their deposits from Wachovia into other banks (wire, check) and let them know that their conduct is not acceptable, they’ll learn their lesson.
Of course most people won’t care one way or another and rather pay them to issue checks. But then you’re looking at the possibility of 8 week holds by other banks as with IndyMac checks at Wells Fargo and WaMu.
I don’t understand why anyone still has money at Wachovia, are they all looking forward to stand in line all day when the FDIC takes over? They’re so rich they’re not bothered by 8 week holds?
I sure hope Wachovia goes out of business soon to make room for banks like the Common Good Bank.
The sad reality is that only 473 people in America WANT a bank that does NOT charge outrageous fees and does NOT rip them off.

It is so depressing to know that I’ve posted about the Common Good Bank and had the link on the sidebar for almost 4 months and most people are too damn lazy to take the 10 seconds to sign up.
I have personally received OVER 473 complaints about banks! That just goes to show that Americans get what they want.
