Baker v. Verizon: Notice of press release + request for comments
Today Rodrick Coffey with Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP in Phoenix filed his reply in support of the Verizon motion for summary judgment and he continues to claim that I owe $105 to Verizon.
I was so shocked, I was shaking so bad I couldn’t even type. It was 1998 all over. The collection manager looking at my cancelled Pacific Bell check proving that I made the payment they were collecting and him telling me that “it’s not good enough.”
The anger, the frustration, the San Jose police officers telling me that they’ll arrest me if I go near that collector again. The collection destroyed my credit, I couldn’t refi, had to sell my house, lost over $500k in subsequent appreciation. Quit my life as I knew it, to:
GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN?????!!!!!!
I feel so incredibly violated, helpless, frustrated. I should take a week off. But I can’t. Have to write a reply in support of my motion for leave to amend my complaint. Have to read the Verizon filings and discovery responses.
It looks like they really did report on Dorothea’s credit and caused her death, they didn’t deny the reporting, so it’s rather obvious that they did. They’re hoping I’ll die too. And the chances aren’t so bad. I would not at all be surprised if I had a heart attack. They’ll get a 2 for 1. I hate all this so much, these God damned liars.
Just sent this e-mail:
Mr. Rodrick [Coffey],
I am so angry and upset due to your continued claims that I owe those $105 Verizon attempted to collect, I can’t even see straight.
I provided to you with my discovery responses the cancelled check for $85 and the June 25, 1999 statement (the account was closed in 1/99) for $84.58, posted at http://fight-back.us/forum/index.php?showtopic=1059
Why do you continue to claim that I owe $105?
You have until 2 PM tomorrow, 4/5/06, to provide me with an explanation for your perjury, but if possible please provide it sooner as I am writing the release now.
I’ll also be happy to include a paragraph on behalf of Verizon or yourself in the release.
Christine Baker
