Watch the COMMON GOOD BANK slideshow and SIGN UP!
Not only is this a REVOLUTIONARY way of banking, but the voting system including proxy voting SHOULD be used to decide most issues in all governments.
Imagine how our political landscape would change if you could vote for your 1st choice of president and if your candidate doesn’t win, your vote for your 2nd choice will count. No more blaming losses on those who voted for the 3rd party candidate, no more throwing votes away and the associated endless discussions.
Just like the Constitution, the voting system was designed in a different time. Government needs to grow up and move into the 21st century.
There is NOTHING wrong with electronic and internet voting as long as no “proprietary” software is used to skew the results and people get a receipt.
Let’s get out of the dark ages and start practicing DEMOCRACY while banking.
PLEASE sign up for the COMMON GOOD BANK.
It’s not only about a checking account and credit card without outrageous fees, but about supporting YOUR community and instead of making the bankers even wealthier, let the merchants benefit from low/no fee credit transactions through a system by the people FOR the people.
This is a GREAT way to test the voting system and to show that not all people are stupid morons. Hopefully.

I recently watched online an entire Planning and Zoning hearing in Kingman.
It started out rather boring and I wondered why so many people were there. Turns out that on the agenda was a new ordinance for wind generators. Not a little 403 or Air X like mine, but the LARGE gens that really crank out power.
Of course there were several solar/wind installers with good input, but MANY residents expressed their views. Apparently 1/3 of power customers are delinquent in the Phoenix area and the cost of power is become a serious issue.
Notably, towards the end of the hearing, one of the commissioners brought up esthetics. He went on and on how he was so surprised that nobody brought up esthetics. Of course he lives in an upscale subdivision with underground electric while MOST residents get to enjoy the beautiful power poles and lines giving Mohave county the distinct look of a 3rd world country.
While several commissioners seemed to be concerned with a wind gen ruining their view, they decided to honor the desire of the PUBLIC. The ordinance was substantially changed to be less restrictive and sent to the city counsel. It’s not a done deal yet, but due to the recorded hearing they won’t be able to “revise” what was said and hopefully the PEOPLE will get what they want.
This really changed my view of Kingman. It doesn’t affect me directly since I live in the county, but it’s the closest town and many regs are eventually adopted by the county. Never thought the people of Kingman had it in them to be so proactive about alternative energy. Now if they could only get the city to invest in a little solar plant and create a PUBLIC utility to provide low cost electricity.
It’s amazing to see how laws are made and if people just CARE a little, things can be a lot different. We may not be able to change the federal system and the banking system, but we can REMOVE ourselves from the corruption by starting many common good banks and being active in our local communities.
LOCAL governments will be the first to implement internet voting on many issues and sooner or later, even the feds will have to change their ways.
So stop whining and complaining and at the very least, sign up for the COMMON GOOD BANK.
