NY AG is going to investigate Nationwide Benefits - Health One
I just got a reader mail from a reader who had filed a complaint with the NY State Dept. of Insurance and he was advised that they would refer the case to the AG for prosecution. Thank you! That’s what it takes to get things moving.
Apparently they need to be licensed with the Insurance Dept. regardless of whether they sell insurance or PPO discounts.
I hope that everybody who ordered the Health Plan and is not happy with it files a complaint with THEIR state. Your mileage will vary, NY is one of the better states as far as enforcement goes.
I had written to the IL Insurance Dept. about the cease & desist hearing, but didn’t get a response.
A TX attorney is planning on a class action for the junk faxes - I’ll post as I find out more.

Information on Nationwide Benefits AssociationJohn Lewis at 1-866-873-0703 ext 1860 keeps calling me trying to sell me a
policy for $129.00 a month and has faxed me approximately 15 pages of
information on their plan. Constantly trying to ge me to release to him my
bank information so that he can complete a application on me and my family
saying that if I didn't do this by march 4, 2005 then I would miss this one
time plan.
Another contact direct number is 1-832-615-1060. Out of the 15 pages of
health information- no where do they list a contact address. I went online
to BBB to check them out and found information under health one and that
nationwide benefits association is another business name that they are
currently using and that they have over 44 complaints with the bbb.
--------- hope this information helps
How did you find out about them?
They lied to me too and faxed me a bunch of worthless stuff.
Got your email - sorry it took so long to respond. I am in Georgia. I got contacted by John Lewis because I went onto a website to get some health insurance quotes. He then contacted me by phone - not by email. Not sure of the website- sorry.... They are no longer trying to contact me after I told them that I contacted the BBB about them. Again, I hope this information helps.

Was hoping you had a fax. At least they aren't contacting you anymore. I just posted about California investigating ALL the discount scammers, BBB was their recommendation too.
But also file a complaint in GA with the insurance department if you have the time. If enough people complain, all the states will take action.
