I just wish Robert could collect. I recently complained to Dish Network about all their affiliate spam, they are such morons, they wrote back that they would put my number on their “do not call” list. They ignored my subsequent mail to their legal department.
Spammers will stop spamming when it’s no longer profitable. And I can’t even begin to understand why they even operate in the US when they COULD be anywhere. Try to serve someone in China or Russia or Central America ...
For every spammer that quits, hundreds will compete for the void. Even when they put a few spammers in jail or when that Russian guy got killed, I didn’t notice less spam.
Fax.com was sued out of business, I didn’t get fewer faxes. Visionlab recently went out of business, I don’t get fewer faxes. I understand that a FIRST effort has to be litigation. But after a while, it has to become obvious to anyone that it’s a waste of time UNLESS you can collect.
It is especially disturbing to see the TX AG Abbott explicitly CONDONING junk faxes because they bring cash from the nation’s defrauded uninsured to Texas.
And that just proves what I’ve always said - almost all the legislators and regulators are totally corrupt and will do just about anything to help businesses defraud the American people.
So, the solution is NOT litigation, unless you sue the legislators for corruption.
