Baker v Midland Funding, MCM and Bursey & Associates
In 2013 I prevailed in justice court when they sued me for an HSBC credit card and then I sued them for FDCPA (expired SOL, unfair practices during litigation). They removed to federal court, judge Campbell dismissed ALL FDCPA claims, but by that time, Midland had verified the incorrect date of last activity with Equifax and I amended my complaint with the FCRA claims. Then judge Logan got my case and dismissed those. After the appeals court reversed in 2018, it took about a year for judge Logan to deny the next round of motions for summary judgment. Then I got only 3 months to conduct discovery and of course the defendants gave me next to no meaningful answers.

Acarta LLC v. Baker
Acarta got a judgment for a Chase credit card and the appeals court remanded. I accepted Acarta's $1,000 offer of judgment for my counterclaim. At the 10/30/13 status hearing Acarta dismissed its claim against me. It could not establish standing.

Midland Funding v. Baker
The Midland lawsuit in Kingman, AZ, justice court was dismissed because the statute of limitations had expired. How many THOUSANDS of judgments for time barred debts has Midland illegally obtained? The Arizona attorney general should audit ALL debt buyer lawsuits and the Midland officers and lawyers ought to serve serious time in PRISON!
